Day 1
Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast we will make a city tour of Sofia with a visit to the National Museum of History: Thracian treasures. Lunch, free time for shopping and overnight in Sofia.
Day 3
After breakfast we will start our journey to Starosel- ancient Thracian cult center. We will continue to the city of Plovdiv second biggest city of Bulgaria. We will have lunch in the Old Plovdiv. Accommodation and overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 4
After breakfast departure for the town of Kurdzhali and visit to Perperikon–sacred Thracian city, sanctuary of Dionysius. Lunch and overnight in Haskovo.
Day 5
After breakfast we will leave for the town of Kazanlak. We will have lunch on the Koprinka Lake at the bottom of which was situated the old Thracian town of Sevtopolis the capital of the Thracian kingdom of the tribe of Odri. Visit to the ancient Thracian Tomb (included in the UNESCO’s list of the World Heritage). Over night in Kazanlak.
Day 6
After breakfast departure for the city of Veliko Turnovo the last Bulgarian capitals before the Ottoman yoke. On our way we will visit the village of Shipka where we’ll see the Russian church, built here to commemorate the Russian soldiers and officers died in the Russian – Turkish war that gave us the liberation after five centuries of yoke. Then we will visit the monument of Shipka and will have the opportunity to taste typical Bulgarian yoghurt. We will visit an open-air Ethnographical Museum “Etara” where we’ll have a lunch. Over night in Veliko Turnovo.
Day 7
After breakfast we will visit the town of Veliko Turnovo and the village of Arbanassi where we’ll have lunch. After lunch we will continue our way to the city of Rousse. On the way we will visit the Rocky churches of Ivanovo also included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage. Visit of the Thracian Tomb in the village of Sveshtari. At the afternoon we will arrive in the city of Rousse where will have an overnight.
Day 8
After breakfast we will make a panoramic tour of Rousse where we’ll have a lunch. In the afternoon departure for Sofia with overnight.
Day 9
Breakfast and transfer to the Airport.
